Where we work
We serve homeowners throughout San Jose and nearby South Bay and Peninsula communities. Summer heat varies quite a bit across this area, with inland and southern neighborhoods running hotter than places closer to the Bay, so we size and service equipment with your location in mind.

About us
Heating and cooling work suited to the South Bay
QuickAir HVAC Repair Service works on heating and cooling systems in homes across San Jose and the surrounding South Bay. The Santa Clara Valley's climate shapes most of what we see: dry summers that push air conditioners hard, especially in the hotter inland and southern parts of the valley, and mild, damp winters when a furnace or heat pump may sit idle for weeks and then need to run reliably on a cold night. We repair and install central air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and ductless mini-splits, and we handle the maintenance, duct cleaning, and indoor air quality work that keeps those systems running well. When you call, we start by finding out what is actually wrong. We explain the problem in plain terms, lay out your options, including whether a repair makes more sense than a replacement, and let you decide. If you are weighing a heat pump because of new Bay Area appliance rules, we can walk you through what applies to your home and what does not.

Do you offer emergency HVAC service?
Yes. We offer 24/7 emergency service for heating and cooling breakdowns, including nights and weekends.
Do the new Bay Area Air District rules mean I have to replace my furnace?
No. The Air District's appliance rules do not require you to replace working equipment. They apply only when an existing furnace or water heater fails or is replaced. If your furnace is working, you can keep using it and keep repairing it.
What changes for furnaces starting in 2029?
Under Bay Area Air District Rule 9-4, natural gas furnaces manufactured from 2029 must meet a zero-NOx emission standard. In practice, that points homeowners toward heat pumps when a furnace is replaced after that date. If your furnace is getting older, it can help to start thinking now about what you would install when it eventually needs replacing.
Can I still get the federal tax credit for a heat pump?
No, not for new installations. The federal Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit covered qualifying heat pumps placed in service before December 31, 2025, and it is not available for installations after that date.
Are there any rebates for heat pumps in the Bay Area?
There may be. Bay Area homeowners can check BayREN and their local clean energy provider for current heat pump and electrification incentives. Amounts and availability change by funding cycle, so we confirm the current offer before including it in a quote.
When does the water heater rule take effect?
The zero-NOx date for small water heaters under Rule 9-6 was set for 2027, but the Air District Board is considering amendments in November 2026 that could delay it. Check the current rule before planning a water heater replacement.
Is a ductless mini-split a good fit for my home?
Mini-splits work well for homes without ductwork, for additions and converted garages, and for rooms that stay too hot or too cold on a central system. We'll look at your layout and how you use each space before recommending one.
How often should I have my HVAC system maintained?
Most homes benefit from a yearly check of each system. Servicing your air conditioner before summer and your furnace or heat pump before the cooler, damp months helps catch problems before you depend on the equipment.
